'Radio Star' Park Geon-hyung showed his affectionate side.
On the 8th episode of MBC entertainment 'Radio Star' (hereafter 'Radio Star'), Park Geon-hyung was shown revealing the love story with his wife.
On that day, Park Geon-hyung mentioned 'Real Men' in the story of how he became the people's thief. He said, "The drill instructor always asks, don't they? He asked if I had a girlfriend, and when I said yes he asked how old she was, so I told him my girlfriend's age and my age. He immediately said, 'Drop and give me twenty,'" he said. When that scene played, he added, "I said it sincerely," which provoked laughter.
Then Kim Gu Ra asked, "What kind of style is your wife, I hear she worked at a big company?" Park Geon-hyung said, "She has since resigned and is at Meta Comedy Club. So she produces stand-up comedy performances. Usually when I do comedy she doesn't laugh," he said.
While listening quietly, Kim Sooro interrupted, saying, "The proposal was amazing." Park Geon-hyung said he was deeply troubled at the time about how to propose because his wife dislikes events. He said, "When I asked acquaintances, they told me to keep it simple. I asked, 'Where is my wife now?' and was told she's in Paris with her mother. They said, 'Then you go to Paris,'" he said.
Park Geon-hyung revealed, "It was during the filming of 'Real Men.' I had about two days off, so I went to Paris for 2 Days & 1 Night. I hurriedly printed a banner, wrapped it up and boarded the plane," which surprised the audience.
About his wife's reaction at the time, he recalled, "My wife was very surprised because she didn't expect me to appear in Paris. You need to do an event but you can't contact her, right? I told my wife to have a snap photo taken to leave memories with her mother. I hired someone to take the snap photos who became my contact. I also told my mother-in-law in advance. My mother-in-law was the first to be moved," he recalled.
Also, Kim Sooro's acquaintance lived in Paris and helped out. The show's footage then revealed Park Geon-hyung's actual proposal video, attracting attention.
In the video, Park Geon-hyung surprised them during the snap photo shoot, played the guitar and sang. His wife screamed and sat down but was moved and shed tears.
Park Geon-hyung also said he held a wedding of the century. He said, "When you attend acquaintances' weddings, the sisters-in-law often look envious. I wanted to make sure my wife would never feel envious no matter which wedding hall we attended after our marriage," he said.
Park Geon-hyung explained that a college classmate worked as the lighting director, Kim Moon-jung served as music director, and for the congratulatory songs, Yu Jun-Sang, Eom Ki-joon, Kim Beom-rae and Min Young-gi, who performed with him in the musical 'The Three Musketeers,' sang.
Park Geon-hyung said, "Kim Sooro hosted the ceremony. This year marks the 12th anniversary of our marriage, but to this day I have never experienced that feeling at any wedding I've attended," he said proudly.
Meanwhile, Park Geon-hyung married 11-years-younger wife Lee Chae-rim in October 2014, and after three miscarriages the two were blessed with two precious children.<
