Actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo revealed the story of leaving her former Banpo APT. and settling in Cheongdam-dong.
On the afternoon of the 8th, a video titled '50 years later price jumped 1,000 times: first reveal of Sunwoo Yong-yeo's Cheongdam building (+bone health age)' was posted on the YouTube channel '순풍 선우용여'.
Visiting the streets of Cheongdam-dong, Sunwoo Yong-yeo grew nostalgic as she pointed to the 99-pyeong plot of land she had purchased in the past. Sunwoo Yong-yeo recalled, "I originally lived in Banpo APT., but I wanted to live where there was land, so I bought a 99-pyeong plot here."
But behind the glamorous move into Cheongdam-dong awaited the hard life of a large family. Sunwoo Yong-yeo said, "Of the total 99 pyeong, the house was exactly 27 pyeong and the rest was a lawn," and added, "My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, our family of four and four brothers-in-law—10 people in all—lived there," surprising the production team.
She also revealed there had been a tense battle of wills with her husband during the move to Cheongdam-dong. To persuade her husband, who strongly opposed moving to Cheongdam-dong at the time, Sunwoo Yong-yeo pulled out none other than 'divorce' as her card.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo said, "When my husband stubbornly refused to come, I went hard, saying, 'Actors live there, so why can't we? If you keep opposing it, I'll get a divorce,'" and she added, "After hearing that, my husband followed without a peep," leaving the set in laughter.
