Global iconic band hrtz.wav (Haatzwave) proved its fully formed abilities at debut and took a strong first step.
Kakao Entertainment (co-CEOs Ko Jeong-hee, Jang Yoon-jung) said global band hrtz.wav (Haatzwave) released its first mini album The First Wave on the 8th and successfully held a debut commemorative fan showcase at the Culture Depot performance hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The showcase was broadcast live through global K-pop media 1theK and Mnet Plus, sharing the excitement with more fans in real time.
That day hrtz.wav (Haatzwave) performed the title track NINETEEN, member Rian and Dane's self-composed song Arivery, the fan song Our story (Close To Me), and Dream, I AM SO FINE, and Highlight — presenting all six tracks from the album with vivid band sound. The high-quality stage, which fully captured hrtz.wav (Haatzwave)'s sincerity and musical confidence, drew strong reactions from global fans both at the venue and watching online.
Celebrating their debut with an instrument ceremony, hrtz.wav (Haatzwave) said, "While preparing the stage I was excited and impatient to show it to you quickly. I'm happy to debut with these great members. Thanks to everyone who always supported us, our dream has just begun," offering meaningful debut remarks.
They also had time to tune their 'frequency' with fans through various corners. To embody the meaning of the title track NINETEEN, they presented a corner where each member appealed their charm for 19 seconds, then defined the frequency of each track to add visual and auditory enjoyment. In particular, quoting the lyrics of Our story and Highlight, they said, "This moment is our first page and the highlight," and added, "We want to create the future narrative with you. Only exciting runs remain," conveying their ambition and sincerity.
The First Wave is an album in which five members with different frequencies and personalities — Yoon Young-jun (keyboard), Rian (vocal), Dane (bass), K-Ten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums) — deliver a powerful first wave to the world, showcasing outstanding abilities by position. Like nineteen, it expresses the many colors of youth that are endlessly excited, awkward in love, and hurt by parting through hrtz.wav (Haatzwave)'s dynamic band sound. After release, all six tracks entered the Melon HOT100 (within 30 days of release) chart, announcing hrtz.wav (Haatzwave)'s strong start.
Meanwhile, hrtz.wav (Haatzwave) will appear on Mnet's M Countdown airing at 6 p.m. that day to reveal performances of NINETEEN and Arivery on music television for the first time, launching full-fledged debut activities.
