The Climax depicts prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who jumps into a cartel of power to stand at the top of Korea, and the fierce survival drama of those around him.
Ju Jihoon gave a passionate performance as prosecutor Bang Tae-seop and is slated next for the Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress, scheduled to be released later this year.
The Remarried Empress, which drew attention from its casting process last year, is a romantic fantasy epic in which Navier (Shin Mina), the perfect empress of the East Empire, is notified of divorce by her emperor, Sovieshu (Ju Jihoon), who has fallen for the runaway slave Rasta (Lee Seyoung), and instead of accepting it, demands permission to remarry Prince Heinley of the Western Kingdom (Lee Jong-suk).
Ju Jihoon, who returns to a 'king' role through The Remarried Empress after the past hit MBC drama Palace, coincidentally, the new MBC drama Perfect Crown, which premieres on the 10th, is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea and has a fictional setting similar to Palace.
In relation to this, when asked Ju Jihoon, "Will you hand over the throne to Byeon Woo-seok, who will star as the lead in Perfect Crown?" he replied with a laugh, "I won't hand it over. How could I hand it over. (I) have The Remarried Empress."
He continued, "Actually Junhwan, the director (of Perfect Crown), called and asked me to do a cameo, so I said, 'I'll do it!' but inside I thought, 'I have The Remarried Empress so I probably can't be called.' He's a very good and pleasant director, so I think (the show) turned out well," he said.
He also said about the release timing of The Remarried Empress, "As far as I know, it's later this year," adding, "Still, there's less worry about the response. There is an original work. And it's a mega IP that has received a lot of love. I hope viewers will have less reluctance to tune in," urging people to watch.
