HANRORO on You Quiz on the Block revealed a special relationship that had been a strong support during his unknown days.
The You Quiz on the Block episode that aired on the 8th on tvN was presented as a "blooming" special.
HANRORO talked about his life living alone in Seoul and the various part-time jobs he did to make a living. HANRORO recalled, "I worked at a bakery, and the longest was at a gamjatang restaurant part-time job. I did it for just under a year," reflecting on those times.
What drew particular attention was the special bond between HANRORO and the gamjatang restaurant owner. After his debut, HANRORO showed exceptional loyalty by personally inviting the owner to his first concert.
In response to Yu Jae-seok's question, HANRORO conveyed the sincere feelings that made him have to invite the owner. HANRORO began, "During my trainee period I couldn't even eat well at times, and when life away from home was lonely, I felt it was shameful to boast about things like this."
He continued, "At that time I went to work every weekend, and the owner would give me tasty lunches, analyze the music I was doing one by one, and give me a lot of good feedback and praise. He was someone who had deep interest and affection for me," expressing deep respect and gratitude toward the owner.
The owner, too, could not hide his overwhelming emotion seeing HANRORO confidently take the stage as a singer. The owner said, "When I was invited and watched him sing, I teared up a bit. I felt like the hardships he went through were coming to an end," moving viewers' hearts.
