Abyss Company's first virtual boy group Miwan Boys unveiled the backstory of its first member Na I-seon, marking the official start of the debut project.
Abyss Company on the 7th released a solo narrative animation for Na I-seon, the first member of Miwan Boys, through its official social media channels. This video is the starting point of storytelling in which each member's story connects into one team.
In the released video, Na I-seon appears as a boy who has hit the wall of reality accompanied by the phrase "I am an isolated boy." In heavy silence, Na I-seon, clutching a crumpled test paper in anguish, faces a glittering idol stage on TV and reveals his longing for his dream.
Along with the video, Na I-seon's solo song was released. It musically unpacks Na I-seon's personal narrative.
Notably, this animation stands out for being directed by Ry? Nakayama, director of the global hit "Chainsaw Man." The work, enhanced by Nakayama Ry?'s distinctive sensibility in mise-en-scène and direction, was released simultaneously through the animation-focused OTT platform "Laftel."
Miwan Boys plans to sequentially reveal the individual backstories of the members starting with Na I-seon. A company representative said the group will start not as a completed "team" but from each member's "unfinished" state, connecting into one flow and ultimately depicting the process of being completed as a beautiful team while building a differentiated worldview.
