Recently reunited after 15 years, SeeYa said they held their first fan meeting in 20 years. When Hajiyeong wondered, "You should have done it earlier, why didn't you until now?" Lee Boram revealed, "At that time the agency president didn't like the idea of a fan club itself. So we didn't have an official fan club."
At the fan meeting, Nam Gyuri, who choked up while singing, said, "It's my first time. So I was so surprised. Even to myself," adding, "As soon as I saw the fans gathered, my throat tightened so much that I couldn't sing. Lee Boram recalled, "It wasn't that we didn't have time, it was that we didn't have money. We were really so poor that we were kicked out of a restaurant," and added, "The company told us to go eat at the restaurant next to the dorm, so we went in and said 'hello,' and they were like 'get out.' Hajiyeong said, "SeeYa was too glamorous for us. But I wondered why they had no money and couldn't eat," she said.
Lee Boram said, "When I met celebrity friends who were close to me or when I was active back then, they'd say, 'You earn a lot, you buy,' like that. But I wasn't making money, and they'd say, 'You always attend events. You're the richest among us.' Why do they keep calling us rich? We weren't making money, it was strange."
He added, "So I thought celebrities were all like shiny apricots — pretty on the outside but rotten inside. I thought none of them were making money."
