Actor Ryu Hyun-kyung expressed a willingness to marry.
On the 7th, a video titled "surprisingly romantic maternity trip vlog" was posted on the YouTube channel KwakTube. The video shows KwakTube meeting up with actor Ryu Hyun-kyung while on a trip with his wife and spending time together.
That day, while continuing the trip with Ryu Hyun-kyung, KwakTube asked about her thoughts on marriage, and Ryu Hyun-kyung honestly replied, "I have thought about marriage. I always have."
She then directly clarified the previously raised "mother's opposition" rumor. She said, "When I went on Heo Yeong's Baekban Journey as a joke I said, 'My mother told me not to,' but that got turned into an article," adding, "It came out like 'Ryu Hyun-kyung won't marry because her mother opposed it,' so it became accepted as fact. The marriage path was all blocked off."
She corrected the misunderstanding, emphasizing, "(My mother) is not opposed at all. She supports it."
She also specified her ideal type. Ryu Hyun-kyung said, "I like an independent person. Someone who doesn't lean on others. I live well on my own, so I hope the other person does too." However, she added a cautious feeling, saying, "Now I wonder if it would be okay to meet someone."
Fellow participant KwakTube also related, mentioning his experience being featured in articles. He said, "An article came out that we were separated two months after marriage," and added, "People misunderstood just from the headline," drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, Ryu Hyun-kyung broke up with actor Park Sunghoon in 2022 after six years of public dating.
