The group &TEAM will serve as the headliner for the large-scale charity concert "Global Citizen Live."
Global Citizen announced on its official website on the 7th that it will hold "Global Citizen Live" at Tokyo International Forum on June 18. &TEAM will perform as the headliner of that event. In addition, Japanese-American artist AI and Yuki Chiba will participate, and actor Chris Peppler will serve as the main MC. All ticket revenue will go to the FIFA Global Citizen education fund.
Global Citizen, founded in 2008, is an international civic movement organization that has worked to eradicate extreme poverty, and world-renowned artists such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Mariah CARRY, Billie Eilish and Red Hot Chili Peppers have participated. BTS performed "Permission to Dance" and "Butter" against the backdrop of the national treasure Sungnyemun at "Global Citizen Live" in 2021, and Jungkook received a warm response as the headliner of the "Global Citizen Festival" in 2023.
&TEAM, as the headliner of this symbolic stage being held in Japan for the first time this year, is expected to further expand its global presence. Like the group name, which expresses the nine members with different personalities coming together as one team to connect the world, this stage aligns with the direction &TEAM has taken.
&TEAM said through its agency YX Labels, "We are pleased to take part in this meaningful stage that supports children's education and health," and added, "The power to connect diverse worlds through music is a value &TEAM has cherished, so it is even more meaningful and an honor to be able to perform on this stage."
Meanwhile, &TEAM will release its third Japanese mini album We on Fire on the 21st. Ahead of that, the title track music video and all tracks' audio will be released on the 13th.
