Japanese-born broadcaster Kangnam and his production team suffered an unintended "rip-off" at a parking lot in Japan.

That day Kangnam dined with the production team at a high-end sushi restaurant. However, the PD who lost the rock-paper-scissors match for the bill had to cover sushi costing 23100 yen (Hanwha about 216,000 won).
After paying for the meal and then having to drive, the PD tried to exit using a prepared parking ticket, but the ticket would not be recognized. Kangnam said, "Isn't that a different card?" and got out of the car to insert the ticket into the barrier himself, but the machine likewise spat the ticket back out.
After letting the car behind go first and trying to assess the situation, they were more puzzled when the car in front showed the barrier rising properly. Even after repeated attempts the PD's prepared ticket was not recognized, so Kangnam called the attendant using the number written on the ticket.
But the phone was not answered, and they had no choice but to pay the whole-day parking fee of 8,000 yen (Hanwha about 75,000 won). Kangnam asked, "Hey it's 8,000 yen. Are you paying 80,000 won, are you going to fix this? Earlier it was 2,300 yen, now it's 8,000 yen." The PD despaired, saying, "I spent 300,000 won on sushi," and even a passerby tried to help but ultimately failed.
Kangnam said, "They won't answer because it's Sunday," and suggested, "Let's just pay. What are you going to do?" The PD paid the amount while saying, "But what can we do? We can't get out," and vented, "Ah, I've been scammed. Didn't Kangnam hyung plan this?"
Kangnam laughed while saying, "What can we do? We spent 300,000 won in an hour," and the PD grumbled, "Ah, it's ridiculous! Why are you so happy about this?"
Kangnam said, "I've never experienced this in my life. You are really unlucky. Go visit a temple," and the PD offered a positive mindset, saying, "Isn't this like getting the bad luck out of the way in advance?" Then Kangnam comforted him, saying, "You have to think of it positively," and brought laughter.
