Jang Da-a announced a powerful screen debut with "Salmokji."
Jang Da-a takes her first step into theaters with the film "Salmokji," which opens Wednesday the 8th. "Salmokji" is a horror film in which an unidentified shape appears in a "salmokji" road view, and the crew who head to the reservoir to reshoot encounter something in the black, deep water. Among them, Jang Da-a will appear to audiences as Sejeong, the youngest producer who joined the business trip to film high-view-count content while running a horror channel.
Jang Da-a left an unforgettable impact with each work and received enthusiastic responses from viewers. She played Baek Harin in her debut Tving original series "Pyramid Game," delivering a chilling villainous performance that moved between good and evil. She then played Im Sera in Jini TV original drama "My Troublesome Star," perfectly embodying a youthful star visual and portraying the character's varied facets, from fresh excitement to hidden pain. Such a diverse spectrum demonstrated by Jang Da-a raises expectations for her next move.
This time, Jang Da-a takes her first challenge in the horror genre with "Salmokji." In the previously released trailer, she opens with the line, "They say that place has long been known as a place where you can meet dead people," sparking curiosity. While she shows a bright side by digging in the ground with curious eyes and trying to capture ghosts using a device, her face, terrified as if she saw something, also raises tension. Attention is focusing on the extreme horror Jang Da-a will present in "Salmokji."
Meanwhile, the film "Salmokji," starring Jang Da-a as well as Kim Hyeyoon, Lee Jongwon, Kim Jun Han, Kim Youngseong, Oh Dongmin and Yoon Jaechan, opens in theaters tomorrow (the 8th, Wednesday).
