JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ will release a new album on the 27th and make the first musical move of 2026.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) posted a new album trailer on its official social media channels on the afternoon of the 6th and announced it will release the new album "Mmchk" on the 27th.
In the released trailer, the seven members are each immersed in their own worlds in the same space. Haru carefully stacks a house of cards, Huey is reading a book, So Geon looks at a hamburger-shaped jelly from various angles, Seita repeatedly tosses and catches a piece of chalk in the air, Yuki turns a stand light off and on, Tomoya is lost in deep thought, and Yuu strokes a cat, capturing attention.
On TV, a public service announcement introducing table manners plays, and a neatly dressed figure explains correct posture, quiet eating and dignified behavior when suddenly Yuu makes a sound. At the moment everyone's attention is focused, the stacked house of cards collapses and the chalk falls and breaks in two. The black cat that had been in Yuu's arms the whole time also leaves his arms. The screen starts to crackle, and as the members' gazes turn to the TV, the album title "Mmchk" appears amid the screen noise. The trailer, depicting NEXZ's seven members' seven distinctive characters, a break in the static atmosphere and the strange situation that unfolds, whets curiosity for the new album.
Visually, and in addition to the rhythmic pronunciation read as "Mmchk," which gives off a somewhat unique and mysterious charm, "Mmchk" is the comeback work six months after last October's mini album "Beat-Boxer."
