Broadcaster Park Soo-hong and his wife Kim Da-ye became increasingly worried about their daughter Jae-yi's bedtime fussiness.
On the 7th, the YouTube channel 'Park Soo-hong happy Dahong' posted a video titled "Jae-yi wakes up every hour..realistic parenting vlog | 17-month-old baby | infant development | cherry blossom viewing with cat Dahong."
The video showed Park Soo-hong worrying about his daughter Jae-yi. Park Soo-hong said his previously gentle daughter who did not fuss at bedtime began waking every night at one-hour, even 40-minute intervals calling for her father after reaching 17 months, and he suspected growing pains or night terrors. Despite his worries, Park Soo-hong went cherry blossom viewing with his wife Kim Da-ye, their daughter Jae-yi, and their pet cat Dahong.
In the released home cam footage, Park Soo-hong picked up and soothed his daughter Jae-yi when she woke crying at 4:30 a.m. Kim Da-ye asked, "Is it growing pains? Night terror?" and Park Soo-hong worried, "Are her molars coming in?" suggesting it might be the well-known pain from teething. Kim Da-ye said, "In the meantime she only calls for and looks for her dad. She doesn't wake up crying but wakes calling for dad," and wondered what could make their previously non-fussy gentle baby suddenly wake from sleep.
In the morning, Jae-yi's condition was at its best. Seeing Jae-yi show affection by running to and hugging her father, Park Soo-hong forgot the hardships of parenting and gave a happy smile. Park Soo-hong held his daughter and said, "She's so lovable," and Kim Da-ye hugged their running daughter and said, "Thank you for giving happiness to dad and mom."
Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye took their daughter Jae-yi and pet cat Dahong to see the cherry blossoms. Jae-yi, who was held by Park Soo-hong, moved the stroller by holding and pushing the handle, which touched those watching. Looking at the street lined with beautiful cherry blossoms, Park Soo-hong explained to Jae-yi in a gentle tone, and the caption read "Park Soo-hong's greatest prime of life," indicating it was his happiest time.
At the park, Jae-yi also drew attention. Citizens recognized Park Soo-hong and his family and greeted them, and they received fallen cherry blossom petals as gifts. Jae-yi wanted to play with the older boys and girls, but she made a disappointed face as her legs went weak.
Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye married in 2021 and gave birth to their daughter last October.
