Singer Lee Sora and Sunwoo Jung-a revealed stories about shaving their heads.
On the 3rd, a video titled "Take a short break w. Sunwoo Jung-a" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Lee Sora's First Spring." That day Lee Sora and Sunwoo Jung-a met for the first time, sang "The Wind Blows" and "Let's Run Away" as a duet, and then talked.
Lee Sora asked Sunwoo Jung-a, "We have something in common," and said, "A few years ago I shaved my head, and Jeong-a had that experience too. It's not easy for women to do this. For what reason did you shave your head?"
Sunwoo Jung-a confessed, "Actually I was under a lot of stress. Various things piled up and exploded at once," and "At that time I had long bob hair with flashy coloring, and I couldn't stand the person I saw in the mirror."
So she suddenly started pulling out her hair and then began cutting it with scissors. Sunwoo Jung-a added, "At the end I shaved it with a razor," and "What I felt while doing it was that hair cutting was a kind of meditative act. After cutting for two to three hours my arms hurt, but my thoughts gradually emptied."
She joked, "I wondered if that's why monks shave their heads. It was a very good experience." Hearing this, Lee Sora said, "I tried it too so I know that feeling. If you have bad feelings you probably want to vent them somehow," showing sympathy and drawing attention.
But Sunwoo Jung-a said, "After shaving my head I actually felt more uncomfortable," explaining, "It was comfortable at home, but because my job involves meeting people I needed more grooming. So I thought it would be more comfortable to grow my hair out." Hearing this, Lee Sora marveled, "You are certainly a free spirit."
