Singer and entrepreneur Ryang Ha (real name Kim Ryangha) expressed her ambition to catch both career and romance.
Ryang Ha appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 'Byungjin hyung' on the 6th and sent a warm greeting. In a phone interview with OSEN on the 7th, she said, "I have been continuously investing in myself while growing my business, and I recently finished the meal kit Ryang Jjajang 1 and released Ryang Jjajang 2. While doing that, I also received a new song and am looking into companies to promote solo activities," she said, sharing an update on her recent activities.
He, who released the album 'REVAMP' in 2020 under the name 'Ryangha effect,' said, "At that time I felt like what I was doing hadn't settled, and I thought I wasn't solid enough businesswise, so I tried to focus more on business," adding, "I am doing two things now. As an influencer I do online marketing work, and I run a meal kit business under my name, and it's starting to take hold. So I'm loosening up little by little. Right now I'm out of breath, so I'm trying to loosen up my body and move that way," he explained the background for restarting his singer activities.
The 'Ryangha effect' YouTube channel, which had paused uploads for a while, will also be revived. Ryang Ha said, "Rather than releasing an album right away, I plan to slowly share the preparation process as content. I think it would be good to share my broken current physical condition and such. Because my body doesn't obey like before. I still do the old b-boy moves, but while I used to do them in succession, now I'm out of breath after one spin. I plan to share dancing and such while preparing," adding, "I'll start uploading again as a channel to share and communicate 'I'm starting preparations like this.'"
She also previewed a new song to be released in the future. Ryang Ha said, "I have one song in hand now; it's an acoustic-feeling song. I am writing the lyrics. Rather than 'I am like this, I lived like this, I went through this,' I wrote lyrics about what I experienced and what I found when living—things like 'because I experienced this, these things exist.' I wrote lyrics to evoke empathy, like 'Just because I grew up and became an adult doesn't mean everything is fine. Our age can be tough too.'" she hinted, raising expectations.
In particular, Ryang Ha formalized her relationship with racing model Kim Hee through the 'Byungjin hyung' channel, drawing significant attention. The two had been friends for more than 10 years and developed into lovers through a chance opportunity. Ryang Ha explained, "There was a party where influencers and businesspeople gathered. We met after a long time, and something just clicked. So I suggested meeting on Pepero Day." The two, who became a couple in November last year, launched the YouTube channel '1 million YouTuber h' around the same time and are uploading short-form content.
Ryang Ha said, "We met while planning YouTube content. At first we talked for content, and then it became like that—we went from friends to lovers." The featured artist 'Heeya' on the song 'Ryang Jjajang,' released publicly in January this year, was also girlfriend Kim Hee. He laughed and said, "From friends to eventually marriage, I guess. When asked, "Are you dating with marriage in mind?" he said, "We haven't planned that far ahead, but the two of us just fit so well given the circumstances. When asked if she would be willing to publicly reveal the wedding in content should it lead to marriage in the future, she said, "Yes. And if we had twins, the content would be perfect. She also talked about the '2 billion won settlement money' disappearance incident mentioned on the broadcast. He bought a lot of meals for the dancers and bought a lot for fans too. He definitely spent a lot of money properly. But that was just buying meals. Still, she said positively, "People ask about that. Don't you want to find it? But I don't really want to. I don't want to stay stuck in the past and cling to it. I feel I can just work hard and earn it again. It's actually hopeful to think it might be somewhere. I live with that mindset."
Finally, when asked about future plans, Ryang Ha said, "I've known since I was young that paths reveal themselves only after you start moving. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to receive a song. I got it from the person who arranges songs for Kim Gunmo, but I haven't had the song for long. The song just came out, so I'm practicing now, and once practice progresses I will release (content) while saying, 'I'm preparing to promote like this,' and I think the path will become clearer," she confessed.
She added, "If a company sends a love call then we'll do it together—uh? X uh? X—my goal is to release an album again, do broadcast activities, and have both business and entertainment run well. I'll accomplish three things by adding romance to the mix," she said resolutely.
