'Angry People 2' director revealed his connection with popular idol group BTS RM.
Netflix held a virtual press conference for the original series 'Angry People 2' on the morning of the 7th. Director Lee Seong-jin, who directed the series, and actor Charles Melton attended the event and spoke with domestic reporters.
'Angry People 2' is a drama that tells the story of a fierce game of persuasion and pressure between two couples and the club owner, a Korean billionaire, after a young couple at a country club frequented by the privileged witness a shocking fight between their boss and his wife.
In particular, this season attracted attention by featuring Korean actors Youn Yuh-jung and Song Kang-ho as a couple. On this, director Lee Seong-jin said, "Since we were casting Korean actors anyway, I set the bar at the highest level and wanted to work with seniors Youn Yuh-jung and Song Kang-ho, who could be called the greatest actors not only in Korea but on earth."
He continued, "Honestly, at first Song Kang-ho declined. He said he wasn't sure if the role suited him or if he could do it. Feeling upset, I told Youn Yuh-jung, and she contacted Song Kang-ho and persuaded him, saying, 'You are Song Kang-ho, you're the best actor, you can do it.' I was very grateful. Actually, I couldn't imagine this role being played by anyone other than Song Kang-ho," he confessed.
'Angry People 2' will be released on Netflix on the 16th. <
