40-year-old actress Jeon So-min expressed candid thoughts about marriage.
On the 5th, content titled "So-min and daytime drinking" was released on actor Kim Ji-seok's YouTube channel "The gem inside me." Kim Ji-seok and his close friend, actress Jeon So-min, appear and talked about acting, dreams and marriage.
Kim Ji-seok said, "How do you do theater? That's really amazing," and cheered on Jeon So-min's challenge. Jeon So-min said, "It's my first challenge. There is definitely happiness as an actress. There are things I gain and enjoy, but I don't yet have the leisure to fully savor that. I'm that much of a rookie. The audience is so intimidating, and it feels like the breaths of the people in the front row reach me. Something is so hot with energy, and there is a sense of accomplishment," she said.
She added candidly, "Things I had forgotten while acting are visible again," and said, "It's been a long time since I did a drama. I want to do a drama. Please call me."
In the next segment, Kim Ji-seok and Jeon So-min also discussed marriage and dreams. While mentioning his love for his pet cat, Kim Ji-seok said, "If I have a child, there's love, but also responsibility. When I see juniors or friends younger than me who are married and have children, I automatically think of them as my senior."
Then Jeon So-min said, "'If I don't get married, will it be difficult?' I have thought about that too. Would there be a sense of loss from not doing what everyone else does?" She then mentioned Kim Ji-seok's brother, who is 10 years younger, and, asking, "Is he handsome?" expressed curiosity. Jeon So-min said, "Among brothers who share such close and cool genes, I've thought, 'Might there be my match?'" In response, Kim Ji-seok drew a line by saying his brother is getting married next year, eliciting laughter.
Kim Ji-seok said, "Everyone is the same child. You have to get married at least once," and Jeon So-min added, "So why.. what can you gain? There is happiness, but even if you fail, why should you try?"
While talking with Jeon So-min, Kim Ji-seok said he was surprised, "She accepts things positively, she's become very calm." Jeon So-min said, "I've been thinking about that a lot these days. I have let go of a dream. It may sound negative, but they say there comes a time when a person must release a dream. Of course, I might be saying this now because I'm closer to my dream, but out of cowardice there is also giving up because the dream cannot be achieved perfectly to an ideal. But when you let it go, the feeling of 'it's okay not to become something' is freeing," she said, expressing her thoughts.
