The group KickFlip made a comeback in a manner befitting "flirting masters."
KickFlip held a showcase at 2 p.m. on the 6th at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin District, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their fourth mini album My First Kick and shared their impressions.
Through this new release, KickFlip captured a prologue to their twenties and the first challenge of a dazzling youth.
The title track "I want to be annoying to the eye" is a hyper-punk-based dance song where listeners can hear a bolder change from KickFlip; Gyehun participated in the lyrics and composition, capturing KickFlip's characteristic cheeky charm. It's a song that highlights a "kikrall (KickFlip-style cheerfulness)" color.
Gyehun described the new song as "a boldly unapologetic confession song that shows KickFlip's lively flirting," and explained, "The reason I've been flirting is because I want to make the public know us. I wrote the song with the desire to be noticed by many people."
About the song title, he added, "I think because we made the song title a sentence instead of a single word, people listened to it a lot, so I was conscious of that with this song as well."
Also, Gyehun said his ambition is to further engrave the team's presence with "kikrall" rather than "gyerall." He said, "'Kikrall' is not because of me but a feeling that all members have. Personally, I hope 'kikrall' expands more through this promotion and becomes widely known."
KickFlip's fourth mini album My First Kick will be released today (the 6th) at 6 p.m.
