Rapper Jaekyway, who had accused someone of dating violence then changed his position, and producer Bangdal, who had been identified as the perpetrator, hinted at a reconciliation, drawing attention.
On the 5th, Bangdal posted a four-cut photo with Jaekyway on his personal Instagram. In the released photos, Bangdal showed affection by giving Jaekyway a back hug and kissing his head.
It was an ordinary couple scene, but last December they were involved in a controversy over dating violence. At the time, Jaekyway released photos saying he had been assaulted by an ex-partner, and his face and body were covered in bruises as if someone had struck him hard, which shocked people.
In particular, Jaekyway explained the reason for the exposure, saying, "I couldn't go outside for two weeks," and "To those who ask why I posted this on social media and act like the victim, earlier they knocked on my door for an hour and entered the password. On the day I was hit, they wouldn't let me leave their house. To break up completely, there was no other way. After I posted it, they stopped contacting me. However, Bangdal, who was identified as the perpetrator, refuted, saying, "You're using photos of someone injured while stopping a rampage to make someone look like XX," and Jaekyway additionally posted on social media, "I was hit so much I felt like X and I admit I slapped them. But I was 99% the one who got hit and cursed at, yet you only posted what you suffered to send me to ruin on purpose."
As the controversy continued, Jaekyway's agency AOMG issued a statement saying, "Jaekyway shared with the company that he was a victim of dating violence that occurred in a relationship, and the matter will be handled according to legal procedures. Prioritizing the artist's physical and mental safety and recovery, we are providing all necessary support, including legal counsel."
About a month later, Jaekyway posted on social media, "I apologize to those who felt uncomfortable because of this incident," and said, "I have decided not to pursue legal action. However, I ask that people refrain from exaggerating and spreading parts of my story. Claims of weapon threats or ongoing stalking are not true."
He also said, "Please refrain from excessive criticism or speculation directed at the other party in relation to this matter," and "Since it was a personal issue, I want to quietly settle it and move on."
