Chris asked Chung Yun-ho to perform a free acting piece for casting, and upon hearing this Kim Eui-sung warned, "It could be disrespectful to the actor."
But Chris explained that in Hollywood all the main actors also audition, and Chung Yun-ho willingly agreed to the free acting request and proceeded to shoot an impromptu audition tape.
Chung Yun-ho performed a famous scene from the film 'Lewd Transaction' and showed a passionate side. Seeing this, Kim Eui-sung, sensing Chris's mood, suggested, "Since you're doing something so intense, how about trying a slightly cold performance?"
Then Chung Yun-ho performed a memorable scene from the 2009 drama 'Heading into the Ground' in which he had starred, bringing laughter. That performance had also been the scene that labeled Chung Yun-ho as a "bad actor" for 16 years.
Chris, who had been watching, said, "I didn't expect this level of condition," called Kim Eui-sung aside and expressed his embarrassment, and they changed direction to film the audition tape in the Jeolla dialect so Chung Yun-ho could act comfortably. As soon as the dialect acting began, Chung Yun-ho drew attention with a more relaxed and plain performance than before.
