Amid a spectator fall incident at a Super Junior concert, SM Entertainment apologized.
Super Junior held the final performance of the encore show for their 20th anniversary world tour, SUPER SHOW 10 SJ-CORE in SEOUL (Super Show 10 SJ-Core in Seoul), at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 5th.
Near the end of the performance that day, a problem occurred in a section of the seating. A fence collapsed, causing spectators to fall. As a result, three people were injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
SM Entertainment said in a statement, "During the encore final song performance, a safety fence we had installed beside the seating collapsed, causing three audience members to fall and be injured. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital and received necessary examinations and treatment, and medical staff said that sprains and bruises will require two weeks of rest and treatment."
It added, "We offer our deep apologies to those harmed by this accident and their families. We will support treatment so the injured audience members can recover, and we will do our utmost until they have fully recovered."
It went on to emphasize, "As the event organizer, we deeply accept heavy responsibility for this accident, and we will spare no effort in facility safety inspections and audience safety management to prevent the same accident from recurring."
