Yang Jun-hyuk praised Mosu's signature dish, the abalone taco.
On the 5th episode broadcast on KBS 2TV, 'The boss has donkey ears' showed Kim Yoon-joo, Park Se-jin, Yozoh and Jang Deul-re appearing on Park Myung Soo's radio show, and Jung Ho-young, Jeong Ji-seon and Yang Jun-hyuk leaving for a site tour to Hong Kong.
On that day, Kim Yoon-joo's daily life was revealed, and Kim Yoon-joo visited Jang Deul-re's newlywed home with Park Se-jin and Yozoh. Carrying an orange box, Kim Yoon-joo said, "Deul-re, it's a gift," and Kim Yoon-joo laughed, saying, "Hermes?" Seizing the moment, Yozoh chimed in, "We all did it together," and Kim Yoon-joo firmly rejected, "No. These two did nothing."
Even the studio watching the VCR wondered, "Isn't that a really expensive luxury item?" and "Isn't it a plate?", and when Jang Deul-re actually opened the box, she was moved by the couple pajamas prepared by Kim Yoon-joo. Jang Deul-re said, "It's very sexy," and Kim Yoon-joo explained the reason for the gift, "Because it's their honeymoon. Roar, you have to roar."
At that moment, Yozoh pointed to a photo of Park Bo-gum placed in front of the TV and said, "Did you see that over there?", and Kim Yoon-joo criticized, "What does your husband think?" Jang Deul-re mentioned that she had already received her husband's understanding.
The reason they gathered was to appear on the radio show. Kim Yoon-joo said, "So we need to know this person (Park Myung Soo) well. We should ask someone who knows the senior well." In the studio, they guessed, "Yu Jae-seok? Jung Jun-ha?", and the person who answered the phone was K.WILL. Park Myung Soo said, "K.WILL's real name is the same as my younger brother's," and Kim Yoon-joo also said she was friendly with K.WILL.
Kim Yoon-joo explained the purpose of the call, and K.WILL guessed about Park Myung Soo, "He might be quite loose and aggressive. Try what you've prepared!" Kim Yoon-joo asked, "Then do I need to prepare impressions or a three-line acrostic?" and K.WILL said, "I like impressions. There's nothing I can't do if I prepare." As a tip, K.WILL said, "If they make someone do a three-line acrostic, have them make Myung Soo do it instead," and when Kim Yoon-joo asked, "What if he insults us?" K.WILL replied, "It's his show, so he won't insult."
When Kim Yoon-joo asked, "What if I have to retire while doing this?", K.WILL advised with a laugh, "Retire neatly." K.WILL added, "I hope the last broadcast the four of you do remains a good memory. Fighting."
The four, facing the main radio broadcast, entered the studio with nervous hearts, and Kim Yoon-joo boasted, "Yozoh did radio at KBS for four years." Park Myung Soo asked, "Why did Yozoh get fired after four years?" and Yozoh replied, "Because I'm not very skilled.."
Park Myung Soo immediately poked Kim Yoon-joo and worried, "Your ad-libs aren't good. You have no energy," and advised, "You can't do that on live radio. You should say, 'That's right!'" Before the broadcast, Park Myung Soo said, "You should make a lot of mistakes. For example, Yozoh meeting a man or hiding a child," and Kim Yoon-joo retorted, "Wouldn't that make a lot of headlines wherever you do that?"
After the radio broadcast ended, there was a strong listener reaction, and Cho Hyun-a recommended 'Waterbomb' as the next program to appear on. To this, Park Myung Soo said, "Yozoh grabs Kwon Eun-bi, and Yoon-joo sets the mood," and Kim Sook said, "Park Myung Soo should also catch Baekho." Park Myung Soo laughed, "I'll catch Choi Baek-ho and I'll catch Baek-ho too."
Next, the scene showed Jung Ho-young staying in an exotic neighborhood, and Jung Ho-young revealed, "We came to Hong Kong for a site visit." Jung Ho-young said he visited Hong Kong with Jeong Ji-seon and Yang Jun-hyuk. Jeong Ji-seon said, "This year I will open a restaurant in Taiwan. I think the second branch might be here," and Yang Jun-hyuk said, "I plan to send my yellowtail out to the world. I'm going to spread it all over Hong Kong once." The three gathered with the goal of expanding overseas.
The three started feasting from bibimbap to dongpo pork and desserts, even in-flight meals, and once they arrived in Hong Kong they began site visits in earnest. Jung Ho-young said, "Chef Jeong Ji-seon has a lot of experience in the Chinese-speaking world, so we should gain that know-how. I plan to use that during the site visits."
He continued, "In Jun-hyuk hyung's case, he has a lot of money. He needs investors so they can consider new investments when they see me. Yang Shin is the investor, and Chef Jeong Ji-seon will interpret and has experience in the Chinese-speaking market. There's a division of roles."
Jung Ho-young cited that 60% of food expenses are spent on dining out and that there are more than 17,000 restaurants as the reason for choosing Hong Kong. Chef Jeong Ji-seon added, "An average of 45 million tourists visit Hong Kong annually."
They first moved to Central, the heart of Hong Kong, and began the tour. Jung Ho-young said, "This area is like Yeouido, where financial firms are gathered. There are many Michelin restaurants and many authentic eateries. Consumers here have strong purchasing power. So it's suitable to open a restaurant here." When Jeong Ji-seon expressed concern, "It seems you would need a lot of money to open here," Jung Ho-young countered, "Even if you spend a lot, you can earn a lot."
The three first met Chef Lim Man-sing of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, which earned one Michelin star. Jeong Ji-seon said this was their second meeting. Chef Lim Man-sing prepared siu mai to start, followed by Iberico char siu, signature smoked cod, lobster mapo tofu and Peking duck.
Chef Jung Ho-young asked about the trade area and sales, and Chef Lim Man-sing said, "About 300 customers a day. Around 70 staff including front of house and kitchen." Jung Ho-young said, "The per-customer spend is higher than expected," and Park Myung Soo marveled, "Even if you set it at 100,000 won, that's 3 million won." At that moment Yang Jun-hyuk asked, "Aren't you thinking of using yellowtail?" and Chef Lim Man-sing cautiously replied, "We haven't tried it." Chef Lim Man-sing advised, "Open a branch here," and Yang Jun-hyuk immediately concluded a verbal MOU to much laughter.
Next, the three moved to the West Kowloon Cultural District and visited a museum that opened in the area. When told they were going to a museum, Yang Jun-hyuk stiffened his face and complained, "But why a museum? Aren't we going to eat?" Jung Ho-young soothed him, "The restaurant we plan to go to is right inside this museum. You just need to enjoy your meal there," and the place they visited was 'Mosu Hong Kong,' where Chef Anh Sung-jae serves as owner chef.
Jeong Ji-seon, who had visited Mosu in Seoul, also showed a surprised reaction, and Jeong Ji-seon said, "I'm curious about the difference between Seoul Mosu and the Hong Kong-style Mosu. Will the ingredients be the same? I'm curious," and added, "If Seoul's place has a white atmosphere and a calm feeling, this place has a wood tone and a glamorous feel. The atmosphere is completely different."
Unaware to Anh Sung-jae, Yang Jun-hyuk asked the price of a Mosu meal, and Jung Ho-young answered, "As a fine-dining place, the price is considerable. Lunch is about 1,000 Hong Kong dollars and dinner about 2,200 dollars. It's between 200,000 won and 400,000 won." Yang Jun-hyuk exclaimed in surprise, "I can't believe I'm eating a 500,000-won meal in my lifetime," and said, "If it's 500,000 won, the table will break from the side dishes."
After tasting Mosu's signature dish, the abalone taco, Yang Jun-hyuk exclaimed, "I've never tasted anything like this with abalone," and Jung Ho-young smiled in satisfaction, "Did you enjoy Hong Kong?"
