With KickFlip set to make a comeback with the new release 'My First Kick' (My First Kick), here are three points to watch.
KickFlip will release their fourth mini album 'My First Kick' on the 6th, marking their first comeback of 2026. Since debuting on Jan. 20, 2025, with mini album 1 'Flip it, Kick it!' (Flip it, Kick it!), they have released three records, achieved a No. 1 on terrestrial music shows, won multiple new artist awards at various music ceremonies, and, having appeared at major global festivals, cemented their presence as a "K-pop super rookie." With the new song "I want to be annoying in your eyes," which contains a bolder confession of love, they are set to make a definite mark on the music scene.
KickFlip-style playfulness! The flirting masters' "Kickral"
The title track "I want to be annoying in your eyes" is a hyper-punk dance song whose exciting yet unabashedly forward love energy is its charm. Partially released lyrics such as "I want to be more and more annoying in your eyes every time," "so you peek into my view no matter where you are, pop pop pop to be seen," and "I can't hold my heart any longer, I want to be annoying in your eyes" preview Kickral (KickFlip-style playfulness) and heighten curiosity about the full song.
The new song captures momentum with leader Gyehun, who earned a reputation as a "flirting master" with his sly manner of speech, taking part in the project. On fan interaction apps, Gyehun drew both new fans and laughs with his witty banter, and by appearing on various web variety shows he proved his appeal with lively performances. In a previously released music video teaser, Gyehun grabbed attention coaching flirting, and domestic and international fans are eager to see him sing "Kickral" with the KickFlip members.
Stage kick + live kick = next-generation stage masters KickFlip
KickFlip opened the curtain on their first fan concert series with four shows over Jan. 17 and 18 at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, titled 2026 KickFlip FAN-CON < From KickFlip, To WeFlip > (From KickFlip, To WeFlip). They then met WeFlip (fandom name: WeFlip) on tour with 12 shows in five cities nationwide: Busan on the 24th, Gwangju on the 31st, Cheongju on Feb. 21, and Daegu on the 28th.
At the fan concerts, the members performed their debut song along with title tracks and album cuts from each album, unit stages and covers, drawing enthusiastic cheers. Moreover, with rookie courage and a wholehearted approach to every performance, they captivated audiences and increased affection for the group KickFlip. Building stage presence through their first fan concert tour and approaching the title of "next-generation stage masters," fans are curious about the stage-kick points they will present in the new song's performance.
KickFlip core! A new album packed with great B-sides is on the way!
Various teaser contents capturing the sparkling moments of youth also stand out. Beginning with the music video for pre-release track "Twenty," which depicts the journey from the end of the teen years into another world, the trailers and concept photos feature moments of firsts—first driving, first voting, first part-time job, first living alone—and music video teasers and images characterized by free-spirited vibes, creating a rich lineup that carries the new release's message and adds to the enjoyment.
Gyehun, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, KJ, and Donghyun revealed scenes from the mini 4 songcamp in a new album preview video, showcasing their musical capabilities. Youngest member Donghyun worked on the pre-release track "Twenty" following songs such as "It's a secret I had a nightmare about" from mini 3 My First Flip and "The first song I sang," which earned their first No. 1 on a terrestrial music show. Donghwa and Donghyun contributed "Stup!d," which blends members' images; the unpredictable "Upside Down"; "Scroll," on which Minje participated in composition and which captures a cute emotional line; "Roar," inspired by ice hockey; and "My Direction," which contains the thrill of a first trip—tracks that mix diverse colors and hint at a collection of standout album cuts.
Meanwhile, KickFlip's mini 4 My First Kick and the title track "I want to be annoying in your eyes" will be available on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 6th (Mon). On the same day at 7 p.m., they will appear on Mnet M2 comeback show, followed by an 8 p.m. comeback showcase.
