In "Manitto Club," actor Cha Taehyun drove a nail into the heart of his younger colleague Park Boyoung, who is like a daughter, with a blunt "pack-punch."
On the 5th, the MBC entertainment program "Manitto Club" finally brought together third-season members Cha Taehyun, Park Boyoung, Lee Sun-bin, Kang Hoon and Hwang Kwanghee, a former member of the boy group ZE:A. The Manitto circle proceeded in the order Cha Taehyun, Kang Hoon, Hwang Kwanghee, Lee Sun-bin, Park Boyoung and then Cha Taehyun again. They focused on guessing each other's Manitto.
Among them, Cha Taehyun, who has a "T" orientation, valued the efficiency of gifts. He even surprised people by giving 1g of pure gold to his Manitto, Kang Hoon. But the gifts Cha Taehyun actually received were full of the keyword "support." Park Boyoung, pretending to be Cha Taehyun's agency CEO, gave him a paper nameplate that imitated an engraved seal with his name and a mother-of-pearl nameplate, and gifted comfortable shoes.
Even those had no meaning for Cha Taehyun. A seal engraved with Cha Taehyun's name in Korean could not be used for real contracts, and the paper nameplate was so crude that even Park Boyoung considered it meaningful only in name and not practical. The shoes were comfortable and useful, but the large logo made them, in the eyes of entertainment veteran Cha Taehyun, "the most inconvenient design for the production to use on the broadcast (to mosaic)."
To guess the identity of his Manitto, Cha Taehyun intentionally "scratched" reactions. He said, "You can't just throw away gifts like this," which collectively irritated the "Manitto Club" members. More than Park Boyoung, Hwang Kwanghee, who has an "F" orientation, became more engaged and said bluntly, "What are you saying like that?" adding, "Even with the same 10 hours, how you spend it differs, so if you say that, wouldn't the person who prepared the gift be hurt?"
Cha Taehyun then said, "Still, I think there are things you should know. This was the worst for me," and laughed, mistakenly thinking Hwang Kwanghee was his Manitto. While Park Boyoung remained silent, Cha Taehyun was the only one who failed to guess his own Manitto. When the identity was revealed belatedly, Cha Taehyun apologized with a sheepish laugh and comforted Park Boyoung by saying, "The shoes were really comfortable," which added to the laughter.
