HikarI Mitsushima of 'First Love Hatsu-koi' announced her remarriage and pregnancy at the same time.
Hikari Mitsushima recently posted on her social media, "We just got married. Being with you makes life more lovable, softer and more colorful. Each day feels very meaningful to us as we will soon become parents together," announcing her remarriage and pregnancy.
Her remarriage partner was Keisuke Asano, a model eight years her junior.
Hikari Mitsushima said, "We recently filed our marriage registration and got married. And there is a new life in my womb. With the help and warm hearts of those around us, I am now prioritizing my physical and mental health and spending days feeling happiness and miracles."
She added, "I would appreciate it if you could watch over us warmly. To everyone who supports us, I am always grateful to you all."
Hikari Mitsushima was selected in 1997 as a member of folder, a seven-member mixed-gender Okinawa local idol group, and debuted. She later pursued her dream of becoming an actress and began acting, gaining attention with Sion Sono's film 'Love Exposure.' She also appeared in various works such as the film 'Sawako Decides!', 'Akunin,' and the drama 'Still, I Live.'
Domestically, she is famous for her role as Noguchi Yae in the Netflix series 'First Love Hatsu-koi.'
Hikari Mitsushima married film director Yuya Ishii, who directed the film 'Sawako Decides!', in 2010, but they divorced in early 2016.
