Lee El-ya revealed recent updates about her busy life as an actress, singer and student.
On the 4th broadcast of MBC 'Omniscient Interfering View' (hereinafter Omniscient Interfering View), actress Lee El-ya and "Gaebuhji" Lee Gang-tae appeared.
Lee El-ya said she is working alone without an agency. Lee El-ya received casting invitation calls herself and led a busy daily life. Because she has no agency, she said she receives appearance offers via SNS messages. Lee El-ya said she personally negotiated the appearance fee for "Omniscient Interfering View" and said "I was satisfied."
In addition to acting, Lee El-ya, who is also trying the trot genre, led a busy life as a graduate student at Korea University. Lee El-ya said, "When shooting the first scene of a drama, if it is filmed on the outskirts of Seoul, you go to the shop at 3–4 a.m. Filming starts at 7–8 a.m. After it ends, I drive again to the filming site for 'Miss Trot.' After it ends I go to graduate school to study, and when I get home I receive stage feedback. I did additional practice at home. I had that routine."
After finishing singing practice and studying, Lee El-ya headed to meet Jang Geun-seok. As soon as Lee El-ya met Jang Geun-seok, she started by complimenting his visuals. Jang Geun-seok said he watched all of Lee El-ya's competition program and offered words of encouragement, saying, "I'm proud too. So that people all know."
Lee El-ya expressed gratitude, saying, "I think I was able to take this challenge more boldly because I don't have a company. Oppa told me to try at that time," and Jang Geun-seok praised her unique talent, saying, "When you go to company dinners, no one knows that you climb onto the table. Don't people need to know your voice and charisma?" Jang Geun-seok added, "Watching you shoot a music video by yourself, it really felt like watching myself."
Lee El-ya voiced her concern, saying, "There are many who moved from singer to actor, but almost no one moves from actor to singer." Jang Geun-seok empathized, saying, "There were many in the '90s." Lee El-ya looked at him with admiration and said, "Oppa seems like a living witness of that path. Who could fill the Tokyo Dome stage?"
Jang Geun-seok said, "In middle school I set a goal to perform at the Tokyo Dome within 10 years. If you go to my performances even now, grandmothers in their 60s and 70s come. They jump together while doing it. There are separate wheelchair seats," and Lee El-ya marveled, "It's the experience of 35 years." Embarrassed, Jang Geun-seok drew a line, saying, "Not 35 years, just say five years."
Jang Geun-seok seriously advised, "Watching you I think, 'She's a female Jang Geun-seok.' Think carefully. You might end up like me. You will walk a very lonely path. That is the life of a prince."
