Actor Ha Do-kwon revealed the identity of his wife, a famous voice actress, surprising viewers.
On the March 3 broadcast of MBN and Channel S' Jun Hyun-moo plan 3, actor Ha Do-kwon appeared as an "eating buddy" and went on a food tour of Cheongju, North Chungcheong.
That day Jun Hyun-moo asked Ha Do-kwon, "Actually, thinking about you, Ha Do-kwon, it wasn't that you debuted early. You graduated from Seoul National University's vocal music department, so what were you doing to debut in your 40s?" and Ha Do-kwon explained, "I kept doing musicals. Right after graduation I did musicals, and at the same time as my musical debut I joined a Japanese theater troupe."
GwakTube asked, "Did an opportunity suddenly come up in Japan?" and Ha Do-kwon replied, "Yes. They said there was an audition so I said I'd go too. I was active for a long time at a place called 'Theater Shigye' and when I came back to Korea I kept doing musicals and then thought I should act," adding, "There were about four years with absolutely no work. So there was no income. I spent time teaching students and doing things like that."
Jun Hyun-moo asked, "You had a four-year gap and debuted after turning 40; how did your wife react? Did she support you well?" and Ha Do-kwon said, "Anyway, I had to take responsibility for finances, but I couldn't help, so my wife had to do it alone. Even so, she waited. What could she do when I wanted to do it?" expressing his gratitude.
Then Jun Hyun-moo told GwakTube, "Your wife is a very successful voice actress." Ha Do-kwon introduced, "If you like animation, she voiced Sakura in Naruto," attracting attention. Hearing this, a surprised GwakTube asked, "Is it her? Is she Shin-chan's Jang-a?" and Ha Do-kwon answered, "That's right."
GwakTube said, "She is a very famous voice actress," and asked, "What's her name?" Ha Do-kwon revealed, "Yeo Min-jeong." GwakTube expressed shock, saying, "She is Yeo Min-jeong's husband?" Jun Hyun-moo joked, "Does only the wife know? Today he appears as Yeo Min-jeong's husband," and GwakTube said, "Then, not that it would happen, but if they had a marital fight the neighbors would enjoy listening."
Then Jun Hyun-moo said, "Neighbors would think a foreign film is on next door," and spontaneously acted out a marital fight skit with Ha Do-kwon, bringing laughter.
Meanwhile, Ha Do-kwon married voice actress Yeo Min-jeong in 2004 and they have one son and one daughter. Yeo Min-jeong is a member of CJ ENM's voice actor troupe, 4th class, and has appeared in a variety of animations as well as games and films, including Vanilla in Dreamy Pastry Chef, Sakura in Naruto, Han Areum in Detective Conan, Lee Ga-eun in The Haunted House, Choi Jadu in Hello Jadoo, and Shin Jang-a in Crayon Shin-chan.
