Lovelyz alum Lee Mi-joo became the "bride of April" to celebrate April Fools' Day.
On the 1st, a video titled [Breaking news] Lee Mi-joo begins wedding preparations | full reveal from the proposal to bride care was uploaded to the Just Lee Mi-joo channel. The video included the description, Hello, I'm Just Lee Mi-joo. I'm finally getting married! I'm going to be the bride of April. So today I received high-end bridal care. From refreshing foot massages to warm enzyme compresses! Everyone is curious who my husband is, right? Actually I'm curious too...(feat. April Fools') which drew laughter.
When Lee Mi-joo appeared that day, the production staff said, "Bride, enter!" In response, Lee Mi-joo expressed anticipation, saying, "What, am I getting married today? Why are you calling me the bride? Can I expect this? What? Are we going to find the groom today?" The production staff said, "I guess so," and Lee Mi-joo said, "Really? We never heard this before. If I had known I'd have gone to the shop. Really? But my ideal type is sharp. First, he must be kind, speak nicely, eat well, be manly and love me," as she gushed excitedly.
Then the production staff disappointed her by saying, "Our broadcast day is April 1. So as an April Fools' event, we want to treat you like a bride." The production staff asked, "A word to the (future) husband," and Lee Mi-joo said, "I'm going through all this trouble and getting care, so please take me with you," adding, "Oh really.. someone will take me, right? I'm getting bride care but what if the groom never shows up. But if I really don't get a boyfriend, it's because of this team," she grumbled.
The production staff said, "We'll set you up on a blind date," but Lee Mi-joo doubted, "When will you do it?" and emphasized, "I'm always open. I'm thirty-three. But I'm pretty when I dress up. You should know that." When asked, "Where will you go for the honeymoon?" she replied, "I have to discuss it with my husband, so we haven't decided where to go yet." When asked if she had received a proposal, she let out an embarrassed laugh and said, "Ah, that's so cheesy," drawing laughter.
When asked about her proposal romance, she said, "I don't have a romance. I just want someone to say, 'Will you marry me?' casually. But to future husbands listening: I don't really like things like flowers or balloons. I'm the type who likes a blunt, sincere declaration," she requested. On her wedding dream she also replied, "Actually I don't have wedding dreams either. Small wedding."
The production staff suggested, "Call us on the day of the families' meeting too," and Lee Mi-joo said, "I'll ask my future mother- and father-in-law once. But if there's a cool mother- and father-in-law like that it would be really fun. I want to call my parents mom and dad," and sent a video message to her (future) parents-in-law saying, "Mom, Dad.
