Mark of the group NCT is leaving SM Entertainment.
SM Entertainment said on the 3rd, "The company had long and deep discussions with Mark about his future activities, and after sufficient mutual talks, we have agreed to terminate the exclusive contract as of April 8."
Accordingly, Mark will also end all NCT activities, including NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.
The agency explained, "Since Mark debuted in 2016 as a member of NCT, he has shown wonderful activities over the past 10 years, demonstrating outstanding capabilities not only in group activities but also as a solo artist. We express our gratitude for the precious time we walked together, and we sincerely support Mark's future as he leaves the team to begin a new leap."
It added, "Going forward, NCT 127 will continue activities as seven members — Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo and Haechan — and NCT DREAM will continue activities as six members — Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung."
Finally, "The company will continue to provide full support for NCT members' activities, and we will do our best for the fans who continue to love NCT," it said.
Meanwhile, Mark debuted in April 2016 as a member of NCT and has been active moving among NCT 127, NCT DREAM and NCT U.
