'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' will feature T-ara member Hyomin presenting a full Japanese course for the first time.
On the night of the 3rd at 9:40 p.m., KBS2's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereinafter 'Fun-Staurant') will feature a new Fun chef whose formidable skills even make Chef Lee Yeon-bok reel. The protagonist is Hyomin, a member of the national girl group T-ara who produced numerous mega hits and conquered not only the domestic but also the Asian market, and who recently transformed into a businessperson. Hyomin drew significant attention when she married a finance worker 10 years her senior on April 10, 2025.
In the VCR shown that day, Hyomin busied herself saying she was preparing an anniversary party just for her and her husband to mark their first wedding anniversary. But before she started cooking, she took out three thick notebooks and checked their contents with a serious expression. The contents of the revealed notebooks were truly shocking. It turned out she had personally written extremely detailed notes not only on recipes but also on the arrangement of cooking utensils at each station, visual and plating sketches for each dish, and even table-setting plans. Seeing Hyomin's cooking plan, Fun-Staurant's Chef Lee Yeon-bok said, "This is something fine-dining chefs do..." and was astonished. It was truly an obsessively meticulous plan worthy of a Nobel-level scheme(?).
"The planning alone took a week," Hyomin said, and the dish she prepared was Fun-Staurant's first seven-course Japanese full course. It turned out Hyomin holds a Japanese cuisine cooking technician certificate. Hyomin shaved daikon as thin as paper and even flawlessly performed the advanced technique of slicing fish into three pieces. In addition, she surprised everyone by making various sushi, soba, tempura and desserts all by herself.
Impressed by Hyomin's skill in cooking, course composition and plating, Chef Lee Yeon-bok said, "At this level, you should go on Culinary Class Wars." The appearance of an all-time great whose skills put the regular Fun chefs on edge, Fun chef Hyomin, who holds a Japanese cuisine cooking technician certificate, will present a Japanese full-course meal called 'Hyomin dining' on KBS2's Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, airing on Friday the 3rd at 9:40 p.m. immediately after the 'Friday night baseball' broadcast ends.
