Earlier, Seo Dong-ju had revealed that she had undergone four years of infertility treatment and cautiously shared the pregnancy news after seeing two lines on a pregnancy test. Especially because her blood test levels did not rise as much as expected, Seo Dong-ju, who was very worried, confessed, "I spent an ambiguous time not knowing whether I was pregnant or not and my mind was very exhausted," saying that although the levels rose and she held on to hope, ultimately she shared the sad news that the pregnancy did not continue.
Seo Dong-ju recently announced the miscarriage herself on her YouTube channel "Seo Dong-ju's ddo.do." saying, "Maybe it's not yet time for me to become a mother."
In the video she calmly said, "I underwent a dilation and curettage and let the child go," and recalled, "I got injections every day and took medication, doing everything I could," adding, "It was a hard time both physically and mentally."
She especially said, "I wanted to protect the child no matter what," conveying her desperate feelings, and added, "I did my best with walks, diet control and supplements, but it seems it still wasn't the right time."
At the end of the video, Seo Dong-ju cautiously shared her feelings, saying, "Week after week I waited and sustained hope, but I ultimately confirmed that everything had stopped," and netizens have shared in her pain and expressed their sympathy.
Meanwhile, Seo Dong-ju is the daughter of comedian the late Seo Se-won and broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee, and after working as a U.S. lawyer she now works in broadcasting and content creation concurrently.
