Can Lee Sung-kyoung and Chae Jong Hyeop meet again amid mismatched memories.
The final episode of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama In Your Radiant Season, which airs on the night of the 3rd at 9:40 p.m. (planned by Namgung Seong-woo, written by Jo Seong-hee, directed by Jeong Sang-hee and Kim Young-jae, produced by Pan Entertainment), follows Song Ha-ran (Lee Sung-kyoung) as she traces the vanished Seon Woo-chan (Chae Jong Hyeop).
Earlier, Seon Woo-chan had tried to reveal to Song Ha-ran that he had been the roommate of her ex-boyfriend Kang Hyuk-chan, but when Song Ha-ran learned this first, the situation became uncontrollably twisted. Devastated by the fact that he caused the explosion seven years ago, Seon Woo-chan suddenly disappeared after leaving behind only a short note saying "trial version end".
A still released ahead of the final episode captured Song Ha-ran desperately searching for Seon Woo-chan. While looking through social media for Seon Woo-chan, Song Ha-ran finds paintings marked with a sign that looks like "Chae-woon." Recalling the meaning of "Chae-woon" that only the two of them shared during their Gyeongju survey, Song Ha-ran realizes that the paintings were all created in the same place. Convinced the artist of the paintings is Seon Woo-chan, Song Ha-ran follows the traces and sets off aimlessly, wandering around the neighborhood and gradually getting closer to Chan.
Meanwhile, Seon Woo-chan, who left Song Ha-ran's side, is spending time alone on a quiet beach. With his hood pulled down low as he looks into the distance, his eyes show a mix of loneliness and longing that leaves a deep aftertaste. Having cut off all contact and disappeared, Seon Woo-chan spends each day there unable to forget Song Ha-ran.
In particular, in the final episode the full story of the Boston explosion seven years ago and all the facts surrounding Kang Hyuk-chan are revealed, raising questions about what kind of ending Song Ha-ran and Seon Woo-chan will face now that they know the whole truth.
Ahead of the final episode, Lee Sung-kyoung asked viewers, saying she hoped people would watch with earnest hearts to see what Song Ha-ran and Seon Woo-chan felt, how they waited for each other, longed for each other and looked at each other. She also asked viewers to watch supporting how various characters find love and how those loves bear fruit, and she requested continued interest and expectations until the end.
