Global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus said the launch teaser for Wanna One Go: Back to Base, released on the 1st, surpassed 4.5 million views across major social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok within a day of being posted. In addition, the pre-teasing content released sequentially since January has accumulated more than 15 million views, proving strong buzz even before the program's launch.
The teaser video released on the 1st (Wednesday) captured the excitement-filled 모습 of Wanna One members reunited after seven years, stirring fans' emotions. In particular, the members' candid reactions after seeing the first teaser, which was surprise-released on Jan. 1, drew attention.
Lee Dae Hwi said, "I burst into tears in front of the refrigerator the moment the New Year's Day teaser went up," conveying overwhelming emotion, and Kim Jae Hwan also showed special affection, saying, "I don't know how many times I replayed the short video." Hwang Min-hyun said, "I felt firsthand that many people still miss Wanna One," and Park Woo-jin revealed tender feelings toward fans, saying, "As expected, Wannables loved it so much." Earlier, Mnet Plus had sequentially released teasing content hinting at Wanna One's return on the 1st of every month at 11:11 a.m., raising fans' expectations. Starting with the message "let's meet again," it continued with heartfelt messages to the fandom name Wannable and videos of past activities, reviving Wanna One's narrative and eliciting a passionate response from fans who had waited a long time.
Having demonstrated strong buzz from the teaser stage, Wanna One Go: Back to Base will depict the members, reunited after seven years, laughing, playing and building memories together at the new "Wanna Base," moving forward as a stronger "we."
