(interview② continued) Kim Hyeyoon talked about her previous works and future activities.
On the 2nd, at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, an interview was held with lead actress Kim Hyeyoon for the film Salmokji (director Lee Sang-min, provided/distributed by SHOWBOX, produced by The Lamp).
Salmokji is a horror film in which an unidentified shape is captured on a road view, and the crew, who head to a reservoir to reshoot, encounter something in the black, deep water. It is director Lee Sang-min's first commercial feature debut, who gained attention with short films such as Dollimchong and Hamjinabi.
For this, Kim Hyeyoon, who stood out in the drama SKY Castle and was recognized in numerous works, took on the lead role of Suin.
In particular, Kim Hyeyoon appeared in tvN's Lovely Runner with Byeon Woo-seok, which gained syndrome-level popularity, and continues to receive great love even two years after its ending.
Regarding how her mindset changed after Lovely Runner, she said, "When I sometimes go abroad for schedules because of my work, many fans come. At those times I felt a little, 'many people love me.' I feel I grow with every role, but rather than changing before and after a work, this was like a diary to me," showing her affection.
She added to fans, "I am very thankful. I still think I receive great love. I feel it when I go abroad, and I feel thankful. Whenever I see fans, I think I must repay many people with my acting," she reflected.
She also smiled about Byeon Woo-seok, who is about to release the drama Perfect Crown, saying, "I hope we cheer each other on."
Kim Hyeyoon, who is set to appear in the film Salmokji as well as the drama Good Partner 2 and tvN variety show Unnie's direct-from-the-mountain in Color Fe, said, "I am so honored to be in good projects. I thought my acting might show a new side, so I am excited and looking forward to seeing myself. I am also nervous. ('Direct-from-the-mountain') everyone is nice, and since it's a variety show, my first thought is not to cause trouble. I approached it with the mindset that I should work the hardest and do well," she said.
She said, "I hear Dex is a very loved character even within the 'direct-from-the-mountain' team, and when I met him in person he seemed very reliable. I hope the chemistry comes out well," asking viewers to tune in.
Meanwhile, the film Salmokji hits theaters on April 8.
