Chae-yeon on 'Radio Star' recalled her 'X-Man' and 'Love Letter' days and revealed that there were contestants who cried.
On the broadcast on the 1st, MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star' (hereafter 'RAS') featured a 'Loyalty inducer' special gathering former military idols: Jo Gap-kyung, Chae-yeon, Go Woo-ri of Rainbow, and Lee Chae-young of fromis_9.
That day You Se Yoon asked, "Was there a time when you were busy avoiding Yu Jae-seok's eyes?" Chae-yeon said, "'X-Man' was filmed once every two weeks, but an unexpectedly stressful part was the dance initiation."
Chae-yeon added, "Preparing that every week wasn't easy. What was more burdensome was being called out at random. It wasn't fixed and MC Yu (Jae-seok) would call, and especially in front of me were Yoo No-yunho and the friend who had the hardest time was Chunmu Stephanie."
Kim Gu Ra empathized, "That friend had her eyes half open." In response, Chae-yeon added, "When someone brought the stage up in front of me and then put it down, I would look elsewhere or turn my eyes so I wouldn't be called next."
About 'Star King' Kang Ho-dong she said, "'You'll get tired? Don't try, don't open your eyes wide' — that's why we've remained intact until now. We grew strong."
Then Kim Gu Ra said, "I'm curious about something. In the past Kang Ho-dong would do 'Is this how it's going to be?' and when we were asked to do a talent once, friends would cry," adding, "we all let it out," which drew laughter.
At the time Kang Ji-yeong showed tears in front of MCs who demanded aegyo and became embroiled in an attitude controversy. Twelve years later when Kang Ji-yeong appeared again, Kim Gu Ra encouraged her, "The atmosphere then wasn't that bad. If it had been bad they would have completely edited it out," and Kang Ji-yeong apologized, bringing a warm moment.
Chae-yeon revealed, "On 'X-Man' or 'Love Letter' there were actually many friends who cried even though it didn't air. They cried a lot as if it were natural." Kim Gu Ra lamented, "We only cried once but they aired all of it, and over there they didn't air every time so people say, 'Only those guys act like that.' Now I'm telling the story. My mouth itched so much," expressing his grievance.
