Noah Schnapp, 21, a star of the Netflix hit series "Stranger Things," drew attention by openly confessing a romance three years after coming out.
Noah Schnapp recently posted a photo with a mysterious Namsung on his social media story, sharing a rosy update.
In the released photo, Noah Schnapp stands side by side with a Namsung, looking out over the cityscape and creating an affectionate atmosphere. He added the phrase "our 1 month (One month of us)" and a red heart emoticon to the photo, officially confirming they are dating. The specific identity of the other man has not yet been revealed, sparking fans' curiosity.
This revelation of Noah Schnapp's relationship comes about three years after he came out as gay on TikTok in January 2023. At the time he shared a lighthearted anecdote, saying, "I spent 18 years afraid in the closet and finally told my family and friends, and they all said, 'They already knew,'" which earned him much support.
He notably mentioned that his character Will Byers in "Stranger Things" is gay, saying, "I think I was more like Will than I thought." In fact, "Stranger Things" season 5, released late last year, included a scene in which Will Byers officially comes out, and Noah Schnapp confessed that he drew on his own experiences to deliver an authentic performance when filming that scene.
He also recalled coming out to his close colleague Millie Bobby Brown over a video call, saying, "Millie reacted, 'Oh Schnapp! You finally said it!'" which added a heartwarming note.
Having concluded the long journey of "Stranger Things," which began in 2016, Noah Schnapp plans to continue his acting career on stage and in a variety of films.
