The late Seo Se-won and Seo Jeong-hee's daughter and broadcaster Seo Dong-joo confessed to a missed miscarriage.

That day Seo Dong-joo announced the miscarriage, saying, "Hello. I hope everyone is doing well. Today, after a missed miscarriage, I had a suction curettage procedure and sent Chilbok off."
Seo Dong-joo mentioned the process, saying, "I wanted to protect Chilbok no matter what, so I took daily injections, took medicine, used vaginal suppositories, and checked each value through blood tests — I think I did everything I could." She added, "I went for walks, ate healthy food, and never missed taking supplements, but maybe it just wasn't the right time yet," expressing her disappointment.
Seo Dong-joo said, "The blood test values were rising slowly, and at a moment when I almost thought I had to give up, a gestational sac appeared. Each week I waited and then saw the yolk sac. But when I went to the hospital yesterday, I saw that the gestational sac remained the same size as a few days ago — everything had stopped."
He said, "Amid an indescribable sorrow, on the other hand I felt a fleeting relief thinking, 'Ah, finally the eight-week long wait is over.' And feeling that way made me feel so selfish that I hurt myself again," and added, "Even though I know well that life doesn't let you have what you want when you want it, I don't know why I feel so hurt and disappointed," conveying his sorrow.
Meanwhile, Seo Dong-joo remarried a non-celebrity man four years her junior in June last year. He recently overcame infertility and announced her pregnancy, but she had previously confessed, "It is true that I am pregnant and a gestational sac has formed and is growing slowly, but that does not mean I can be completely at ease. The waiting process is the hardest part."
