"Gag Concert" has proven itself to be the top variety IP by dominating not only living room television but also the YouTube platform.
According to the latest data from Storm, a broadcast network YouTube channel statistics analysis system, the official KBS2 "Gag Concert" YouTube channel ranked No. 1 in the "entertainment and K-POP" genre for six consecutive weeks from the third week of Jan. to the third week of Feb. This result stands out among leading K-POP artists and major variety channels and clearly demonstrates the powerful reach of "Gag Concert"'s unique comedy content.
The success of "Gag Concert" is not a temporary phenomenon. On a weekly basis, it remained in the top 10 across all broadcaster channels for 10 consecutive weeks from the end of Dec. through the end of Feb., and on a monthly basis it demonstrated strength by staying in the top 10 across all channels for 11 consecutive months from Apr. of last year. In particular, the annual view count of 2.296 billion recorded during 2025 ranks sixth among those surveyed, out of 495 channels in the overall survey.
The main reason for these results is the segment structure optimized for short-form trends. Segments that precisely target the tastes of Millennials and Gen Z, such as "Mirror Man and Woman" and "Simgok Police Station," have ridden YouTube algorithms to explosive responses. From Jan. 1 to Mar. 31 this year, three clips uploaded surpassed 10 million views and 14 clips exceeded 5 million views, showing how intense the momentum is.
A "Gag Concert" representative said "We were able to achieve record results thanks to the great love of viewers," noting "The short-form strategy tailored to the YouTube environment seems to have been effective with younger audiences. We will continue to work to capture both healthy laughter enjoyed by the whole family and digital trends."
Meanwhile, "Gag Concert" will air on KBS2 at 9:20 p.m. on the 5th.
