'Radio Star' Go Woo-ri surprised everyone by confessing she is pregnant after bold 19+ remarks.
On the 1st episode of MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' (hereinafter 'Ras'), which was arranged as a 'loyalty-inducing' special gathering past 'gun rulers,' a scene was shown in which Go Woo-ri confessed her pregnancy.
That day Go Woo-ri said that everything she said last year came true and complained about a career break, saying, "I was acting and living well, but after getting married my work suddenly disappeared."
Go Woo-ri said, "Then one day I appeared several times on member Hyunyoung's YouTube. I casually said, 'Everyone says they have no work these days, so shall we release an album?' They resumed activities as Sistar19 and I said, 'Then let's go as Rainbow 18, let's do it as an homage' and it became reality," and added, "We said, 'Let's do events, let's go to Waterbomb,' and we ended up performing on music shows and even went to Waterbomb. I was moved, saying, 'This is amazing — things happen just as I say.'"
Kim Gu Ra asked if she had shot a commercial, and Go Woo-ri looked straight at the camera and joked, "I'm about to talk about commercials now. Please contact me for commercials," drawing laughter.
Go Woo-ri said, "There are various things. When I thought about it, I realized I have never once thought I wanted to be a star. 'Yes, this year I'll become a star.' And another goal was that I planned to get pregnant," she revealed.
She also said, "I was on the program 'Strange Stories' and fortune-tellers all said I would do well this year and get pregnant. They said that even if I got pregnant work would come and I'd have a big hit. I suddenly got to appear on Ras. So I think this energy is coming to me," expressing her expectations.
Then Kim Gu Ra said, "Your makeup was very daring. Makeup gone crazy to become a star," which made people laugh.
Meanwhile, Go Woo-ri recounted an anecdote from when Rainbow did a fake documentary and she made a 19+ quip. She said, "After resting from rapping for a long time, when someone asked, 'If you're a rapper, where's your gun?' I said, 'My gun is at home.'"
You Se Yoon exclaimed, "Wow, the level is intense," and Go Woo-ri confessed, "Since I got married those kinds of quips naturally come out. Unmarried Hyunyoung reacted, 'This sister is strange,' and recoiled. Now I'm not a rapper but 'the aunt who quickly says dirty things,' nicknamed 'ya.ppal.a' she said, surprising the studio.
When asked about her husband's reaction, Go Woo-ri said she didn't know at first and later found out after seeing reaction images sent by people around her.
She added, "Last year my husband's business went bad so I had to provide financial support. One day he came home drunk, took my hand and said, 'You've suffered so much because of me. Sell me anytime! You can sell me however much, so sell me and buy a house,'" which drew more laughter.
Above all, Go Woo-ri confessed her pregnancy and received everyone's congratulations. As of filming she was seven weeks pregnant and said, "I had been preparing for pregnancy. I failed. But I thought a lot today," and revealed, "I became pregnant through in vitro fertilization," showing her pregnant badge, which drew attention.
Meanwhile, Go Woo-ri married a non-celebrity businessman five years her senior on Oct. 2022.
