Below is the agency's full official statement
Hello, Baro Entertainment.
We have confirmed that illegal acts such as malicious slander, dissemination of false information causing defamation, insults, sexual harassment, and personal attacks against our artists continue to occur online and on social media, and through fans' reports and our own monitoring we have continuously collected evidence against malicious posts and comment authors that violated the artists' honor and rights and are pursuing legal action with the law firm YulChon.
We are also actively cooperating with all necessary procedures, such as submitting required materials and presenting opinions, so that the related matters can be strictly punished according to law and principle, and we provide the following update on the progress to date.
Investigative agencies carried out identification procedures for online posts and comment authors on major online communities and social media platforms such as DC Inside, Women's Era, Nate Pann, and Ruliweb. As a result, some defendants' identities have been identified, and the cases have been transferred to the investigative agencies with jurisdiction over the defendants' addresses, and follow-up investigations, including sequential verification of the facts and investigative procedures, are currently underway.
However, mentioning unverified information or spreading speculative content related to matters under investigation could give rise to another legal dispute, and at this time it could interfere with the investigation, so we note that it is difficult to disclose detailed information about the investigation progress or specifics about the defendants.
We continue to monitor artist-related posts and comments across online communities, social media, and various platforms, and we secure evidence through ongoing monitoring and documentation for posts that may infringe on artists' rights, such as slander, ridicule, and defamation. While not all matters may lead to punishment, based on continuous monitoring we will respond strongly without exception so that confirmed illegal acts are held accountable to the end regardless of the number of people involved.
We will continue to do our best to protect the rights and interests of our artists.<
