Singer Hwasa (HWASA) will make a comeback on Apr. 9 with the new song "So Cute."
P NATION said on the 1st, "Hwasa will release the new digital single 'So Cute' through various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 9th." It is a comeback about six months after "Good Goodbye," released on Oct. 15 last year, which became a mega hit.
On the afternoon of the 31st of last month, P NATION's official SNS channel also released a teaser video for Hwasa's comeback titled "So Cute." The video features a short vocal of Hwasa saying "So Cute," Hwasa sitting at a table lost in thought, and children surrounding her playing with a recorder, hula hoops and other items, drawing attention.
In a strange atmosphere that makes it impossible to guess what style the new song will be, a portion of the "So Cute" melody and the release date reading 26.04.09 (THU) 6pm KST heighten expectations for Hwasa's comeback.
Hwasa demonstrated overwhelming digital music power with the previously released "Good Goodbye." In particular, she achieved a total of 750 perfect all-kills (PAK), topping all major domestic music charts and reaching the highest position among domestic singers.
In addition, she proved her irreplaceable presence by winning the SBS "Inkigayo" triple crown, taking five music show crowns, six Circle Chart crowns, and topping the Billboard Korea Hot 100, a chart newly established by Billboard Korea, for two consecutive weeks.
With the new song "So Cute," Hwasa is expected to further solidify her status as the music industry's representative "solo queen." This new song, featuring Hwasa's unique personality and sensibility, promises the birth of another masterpiece following "Good Goodbye."
Meanwhile, Hwasa is scheduled to perform at Rock in Rio, the world's largest music festival, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sept. 11 (local time), where she will showcase K-pop's representative diva-level vocals and performances.
