In the divorce lawsuit, the first trial court found Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-kyung's son responsible for the divorce and ordered him to pay 30 million won in compensation and monthly child support of 800,000 won until the child reaches adulthood. The court also ruled that A should receive 20 million won in consolation from the other woman.
After the controversy erupted, Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-kyung issued a statement, but the former daughter-in-law A expressed anger, saying, "Apologize to me, the child and my family, not the public. They're pretending to apologize because it's a fuss."
