On 'Salon Drip 2,' TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Yeonjun said he received help from BTS RM when he experienced burnout, creating a heartwarming moment.
On March 31 a video titled '8-year idol lyric investigation is out | EP. 133 TXT Soobin Yeonjun |' was posted on the Salon Drip 2 channel.
That day Yeonjun and Soobin recalled their legendary Big Hit trainee days. It was revealed that Yeonjun didn't give up first place in the end-of-month evaluation. Yeonjun, who said he even did a company diss rap as a trainee, said, "Every time I took evaluations they said I was too good and that backfired and I got a lot of criticism," adding, "They said I was colorless and tasteless, so I wrote the lyrics 'the beauty of blank space.' I even wrote 'put my name on the debut team now,'" mentioning the cocky trainee diss rap, and Jang Do-youn admired, "That's tremendous confidence and skill."
In fact, among TOMORROW X TOGETHER members Yeonjun is called the dad of the team and Soobin is called the mom. Mentioning Soobin, who is a free pass for family introductions, and Yeonjun, who is often kept at the door, Jang Do-youn laughed, "Yeonjun who seems to ride a motorcycle even today, and Soobin who seems to drive his own car," and Soobin said, "Being innocent suits me without effort; something that doesn't work even with effort is a strong concept," adding, "I've heard since high school that I won class president awards."
Conversely, about Yeonjun who seems to have a strong personality, Soobin said, "Among the five members he's the most delicate and girlish, a soft hyung," and Yeonjun replied, "On the contrary, Soobin's face is innocent but her personality is solid; she's strong-willed, gentle outside but strong inside," and Soobin, clenching her fist, said, "I won't be intimidated anywhere," drawing laughter.
Yeonjun said, "The story is long," and Soobin, embarrassed, asked, "Where are you going to start?" Yeonjun said, "After finishing my first solo album I was affected by what people around me said and got stressed," and his inner self began to be shaken by others' standards. Yeonjun recalled, "I had a strong burnout for three months. I used to say I was having a hard time, but now I couldn't tell people around me; I thought I had to overcome the hardship alone," remembering the time he worried alone.
Yeonjun said, "Namjoon (BTS RM) came to mind so I asked him a lot of questions. He told me he hoped I would face many things that made me uncomfortable, and although Soobin and I actually fought and had an awkward period in between, I wanted to erase all those feelings; I realized I had many wrong thoughts," and so he said he first suggested going out for drinks with Soobin. He shared the behind-the-scenes that that day they posted a photo they took together on SNS.
