Popular YouTuber SummerSummer (real name Lee Da-som) announced her divorce from her American husband.
On the 1st, SummerSummer posted a long message on her social account saying, "Hello. This is SummerSummer. It took a lot of time and emotional sorting to write this post," and conveyed the divorce, saying, "After long consideration, Dominic and I, who have been together for a long time, have decided to end our journey as a married couple."
She explained the reason for the delayed announcement, saying, "Although it has been quite some time since it was settled on paper, our relationship as each other's closest friends and partners, the time we built together and the precious memories are not something that can be easily resolved with a piece of paper, so over time we tried to reconcile, then kept our distance again, and time passed. We needed time to ourselves to make a careful decision and pull ourselves together, and in that process we could not tell you or even close friends and family."
She continued, "After much time and long deliberation we now calmly share the decision we made together. Our journey as a married couple stops here, but we would appreciate it if you would continue to support Dominic, the father of our cats Tuna and Butter and a precious person in my life. I too will do my best in my place."
She added a plea, saying, "This was a joint decision made after long thought to become healthier and happier in each of our lives, not because of a particular incident or anyone's fault, so please refrain from excessive speculation and respect our choice and process."
Meanwhile, SummerSummer, a YouTuber with 1.07 million subscribers, gained much love by uploading vlogs about life in New York and more. She married Dominic, an Italian-American, and Dominic also sometimes appeared in her content. However, with the news of the divorce, the videos featuring Dominic have been switched to private.
