Actress Ha Jiwon renewed the most villainous character in history by continuing a 'rampage' that spares no means in 'Climax.'
Ha Jiwon, in the sixth episode of the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax' broadcast on the 31st of last month, played Chu Sang-ah, who was driven to the brink, delivering an extreme performance that used even her own life as a tool to cover up the pressing truth, exploding immersion.
In the episode, Chu Sang-ah (Ha Jiwon) confronted former bodyguard Park Jae-sang (Lee Ga-seop), who was trying to expose suspicions that entertainment producer Oh Gwang-jae (Seo Hyun-woo) ordered a murder. When persuasion failed, Chu Sang-ah said, "I'm tired of acting in front of you," suddenly turning 180 degrees, and sneered, "Did you really think we would be okay? Did you think we'd get married?" Enraged, Park Jae-sang put Chu Sang-ah in a life-or-death situation by grabbing her throat, and she showed a cunning move by twisting her body so that her face was captured on passersby's cameras, sending chills.
However, even with these attempts she failed to generate sympathy, and when she was cornered by a massive penalty lawsuit and a prelude to a war of exposure, Chu Sang-ah shook public opinion by staging an extreme 'show' in which she attempted suicide. Not stopping there, Chu Sang-ah planned an emergency press conference with her husband Bang Tae-seop (Ju Jihoon) and mounted the podium with dark-circle makeup and special effects makeup to maximize a haggard appearance. At the event, Chu Sang-ah shed false tears, saying, "I wanted to prove my innocence even like this," succeeding in turning public opinion with a national deception and adding to the shock.
Also, immediately after the news broke that Park Jae-sang died by suicide, Ha Jiwon continued an unrelenting performance that overwhelmed viewers, such as when she hyperventilated and collapsed at reporters' questions like, "Do you see no possibility of homicide?" On the day, Ha Jiwon, to survive, portrayed Chu Sang-ah — who became the 'villain' itself — with mesmerized skill, raising the drama's dopamine and tension to a peak.

The drama 'Climax' also ranked second in integrated TV-OTT drama buzz, proving explosive popularity.
