'Multiple homeowner' Hwang Hyun-hee was chosen as the host of 'KBS open debate.'
KBS Radio 1 will carry out a sudden spring revamp on Apr. 6. In this revamp, Radio 1 abruptly selected leading real-economy analyst Chae Sang-wook and economic commentator Yoon Ji-ho as the new hosts of the economy-focused program 'The Economy Show,' and entertainer Hwang Hyun-hee as the new host of the 23-year-old debate program 'KBS open debate.'
"The best choice to understand the market" Radio 1's "The Economy Show" will transform into a two-top system led by the country's top economic experts Chae Sang-wook and Yoon Ji-ho with this revamp. Amid a rapidly changing global economic environment, it plans to establish its identity as an "expert-centered economic analysis program" that insightfully analyzes the market's fundamental structure and flows. From Monday through Thursday, Chae Sang-wook, a real-economy authority selected as a best analyst nine years in a row and CEO of Connected Ground, will host, and on Fridays at the same time economic commentator Yoon Ji-ho, who has accurately analyzed the capital market for about 30 years, will take charge of "The Economy Show," clearly conveying global economic trends and changes in industrial structure to listeners. "The Economy Show" airs every day at 4:05 p.m.
KBS Radio 1's evening debate program "KBS open debate" is undergoing a program revamp by choosing entertainer Hwang Hyun-hee as its new host. "KBS open debate," which airs on KBS Radio 1 on weekdays from 7:20 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., is a representative debate program that, since becoming the first "daily" debate program in broadcasting history in 2003, has led discussions on a variety of topics including politics, economics and society.
Entertainer Hwang Hyun-hee debuted in 2004 as a KBS class of 19 recruited comedian and has appeared on various current affairs and entertainment shows, working as an MC and current affairs commentator. Hwang Hyun-hee will take on the new hosting of open debate and is expected to show a bold, witty and professional presence as a current affairs host.
In this revamp, KBS Radio 1 will also introduce new changes to its morning lineup. "Morning Today Radio 1," which airs from 6:15 a.m., will be co-hosted by announcer Kim Jin-hyun, who is aiming to become a flagship KBS announcer, and KBS producer Jeong Hyeon-jae, who is also active on podcasts and YouTube, offering listeners a fresh and special morning.
