Disney's cash cow IP Frozen, which sparked the global 'Let It Go' craze, is finally returning for a third installment, and news of the long-awaited "wedding" that fans have been waiting for has been reported.
On the 30th (local time), according to the Daily Mail and other reports, Frozen 3 co-directors Jennifer Lee and Trent Correy recently left a strong hint about the film's "wedding" during a Disney+ Insider special, drawing attention.
The news was delivered during the "World of Frozen" tour at Disneyland Paris in France. Director Jennifer Lee met the ANNA and Elsa characters on site and opened by saying, "I've heard there's a huge wedding plan in the works," and the ANNA character responded, "I'm so excited!", which sent fans' expectations soaring.
In particular, ANNA added, "Olaf wants to be in charge of all of Arendelle's party planning," and said, "I heard Olaf and Kristoff are preparing a really big surprise for the 'Snowflower Festival'", suggesting that Anna and Kristoff's wedding will in fact be a central event in the film.
Frozen 3 has already set its release date and is accelerating production. It is scheduled to hit theaters during the Thanksgiving season on Nov. 24, 2027, in North America.
Most welcome is that the original voice cast will return, with Kristen Bell as ANNA, Idina Menzel as Elsa, and Josh Gad as Olaf. Also joining are the songwriting couple who created the hit soundtracks for parts 1 and 2, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, promising another memorable song to captivate the world once again.
Disney's ambitions do not end there. Earlier, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that "director Jennifer Lee is working on two stories at once," and even mentioned the possibility of producing Frozen 4.
