The wife of group Shinhwa member Junjin, Ryu I-seo, launched a YouTube channel.
Ryu I-seo posted on her social media on the 31st saying, "Everyone, I started YouTube," to share the news.
She said, "Thank you so much for waiting so long. I'm still very lacking, but please look kindly on me," and explained, "From now on I'll show a more honest side and include, one by one, the stories you've been curious about. Please feel free to leave any questions in the YouTube comments."
The channel name is "My love Ryu I-seo," and that day Ryu I-seo released a video titled "The only pair in the world, the loving couple Junjin and Ryu I-seo, and the reason she started preparing for pregnancy at 43."
The video showed Ryu I-seo answering questions from Junjin, who had transformed into a producer.
When asked about her goals for this year, Ryu I-seo said, "Our goal for this year is that we are preparing for pregnancy, so we're doing in vitro fertilization; we will retrieve eggs one more time and the implantation has not been done yet. We plan to attempt the implantation."
Asked whether the process was difficult, she replied, "When we were young we could each just take care of ourselves and live comfortably like that. Even if it's a bit hard now, I think it's natural, so I don't really feel it's that hard."
She said she hoped the child would resemble her husband, saying, "I hope the child looks like my husband and only the personality resembles me," while Junjin added, "Whether daughter or son, I hope they all resemble my wife," revealing their affection for each other.
About what prompted their plan to have children, she explained, "Last year my husband suddenly became ill and had to go to the hospital. Seeing him in so much pain made me think, if this person dies, how will I live alone? So I suddenly thought that if there was a child who resembled this person, I could endure it. I became scared and seriously talked to my husband."
Ryu I-seo went on to say about Junjin's condition at the time, "We thought it might be a cerebral blood vessel issue, but it was indigestion. He vomited and was incoherent, so we did an MRI. There was nothing wrong; it was indigestion," she said, drawing laughter.
Regarding the concern that the husband would be relegated to second place once they have a child, Junjin said he would not feel hurt at all, and Ryu I-seo said, "I wanted him to fully enjoy the newlywed period and receive undivided love, so that is partly why thinking about a baby was delayed. I think I've received a lot now."
Meanwhile, Junjin and Ryu I-seo became husband and wife after holding their wedding in September 2020.
