The measure was because of controversy over Hwang Seok-hee's alleged past sex crime convictions, and on the 30th a media outlet reported that Hwang Seok-hee committed sex crimes three times in 2005 and 2014.
According to the report, in 2005 Hwang Seok-hee molested two women near Kangwon National University in Chuncheon and assaulted two people who tried to stop him, and in 2014 he was given a suspended sentence for attempted rape and illegal filming of a student at a cultural center where he worked as an instructor.
