A workplace romance during Jun Hyun-moo's time at KBS was exposed.
The KBS2 entertainment show Maljashow, which aired on the afternoon of the 30th, was presented as a "working people special," and comedy actor Park Young-jin and announcer Eom Ji-in appeared as sympathetic guests.
Announcer Eom Ji-in, known as "KBS's rising variety show hopeful," has recently appeared on various programs and has been nicknamed "the second Jun Hyun-moo" and "female Jun Hyun-moo."
"Is there anyone saying 'I'm better than Jun Hyun-moo'?" she said, adding, "Comments and articles call me 'female Jun Hyun-moo,' 'the second Jun Hyun-moo,' 'She will become like Jun Hyun-moo,' but when I worked at the company I was doing very well. Even now I think I was the top announcer in Korea. People should have high dreams," and she said, "When we worked at the company together, senior Jun Hyun-moo was the king of written explanations. He wrote many written explanations and got scolded. On the other hand, I always received first place in performance evaluations. We took different paths."
When asked about her goals for the second half of the year, she said, "Kim Young-hee was a candidate for the entertainment award grand prize last year, and I was a candidate for the best prize. My goal for 2026 is to be a candidate for the grand prize," expressing her ambition.
"And then you'll leave KBS, won't you?" mentioning a declaration to go freelance, which startled Eom Ji-in, who said, "Be quiet! What are you talking about?" Kim Young-hee said, "The company president is here today," and Park Young-jin, who was beside her, shouted, "President, I'm not leaving. I will take root here. Eom Ji-in is leaving," drawing laughter.
That day, the topic of workplace romances among office workers came up, and Malja halmae Kim Young-hee asked, "Do we know anything about announcers' workplace romances?" Eom Ji-in hinted, "I've seen many workplace romances. There is a way to know whether people are dating or not."
Eom Ji-in said, "In the announcers' room, it's not like this now, but in the past men did overnight duty and women did late-night duty. At night one man and one woman were on duty," adding, "But there were people who kept asking to change this shift. If you changed it, that partner would always become the same person."
She continued, "Those people were Jo Chung-hyun, Jo Woo-jong, and Jun Hyun-moo. I'll only say up to this. They always asked to change shifts. Then everyone knows. People think they don't know, but everyone knows," she strongly revealed, provoking laughter.
In reality, Jo Chung-hyun had a workplace romance and married KBS announcer Kim Min-jeong, and Jo Woo-jong also married KBS announcer Jeong Da-eun. Jun Hyun-moo also once dated a junior from KBS publicly.
